The division of Germany begins and ends in the ether. Immediately after the Second World War, the Allies took over the broadcasting authority in their respective spheres of influence, but radio waves know no borders.

Matthew Herbert has composed the music for a new radio play to mark the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Germany. The RIAS Chamber Choir and the Rundfunkchor Berlin interpret a two-part composition, simultaneously broadcast on Germany Kultur and German radio.
