from the 18th september matthew herbert and his band will take up residence in a specially designed studio in the carpentry of the deutsche opera berlin. their goal: to compose, record and mix an album from scratch within a week. we will invite the public and special guests – musicians , theorists and politicians – to discuss and participate in the creative process.
the space will become a place to listen to, discuss and create music.
